Rep. Jack Bergman (R-MI) led a delegation that visited Taiwan from March 27-29, 2024 as part of a larger visit to the Indo-Pacific region. Other members of the delegation included Rep. Donald Norcross (D-NJ) and Rep. Jimmy Panetta (D-CA). While in Taiwan, the delegation met with President Tsai Ing-wen and Vice President William Lai. In these meetings, the delegation had an opportunity to exchange views with Taiwan counterparts on a wide range of issues of importance to both the United States and Taiwan.
