The American Institute in Taiwan congratulates Alexander Tah-ray Yui on becoming Taiwan’s Representative to the United States. Mr. Yui has a strong record of advancing U.S.-Taiwan relations and our partnership on a wide variety of issues. He brings a wealth of experience to the position, with significant experience in senior diplomatic roles responsible for Taiwan’s relations in Europe and Latin America. We commend President Tsai’s appointment of Mr. Yui and feel confident that the longstanding U.S.-Taiwan friendship will continue to flourish during his tenure.
